Johnny Sellers Obituary
Mr. Johnny Edwin Sellers, 77, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Abbotts Creek Center in Lexington. He was born on August 19, 1946 in Rockingham, NC to the late Maybelle Brooks and Thomas Sellers. Johnny worked for 25 years at Hatters Yacht Company and then retired from Penske Trucking in Greensboro. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and riding on his motorcycle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence Sellers, Ray Sellers, and Richard Sellers.
Surviving is his daughter, Mitzie Blue; one son, Danny Blizzard; two grandchildren, Blair K. Barbour and Devin E. Barbour; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Tylee; three siblings, Peggy Graf and husband Joe, Billy Sellers, and Bobby Sellers and wife Jessie; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Scotty Sellers officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville.
