Joyce Geraldine (Jerri) Clinard Parrish

Mrs. Joyce Geraldine “Jerri” Clinard Parrish, 91, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at her home.  She was born on October 26, 1930 in Davidson County, NC to Lloyd Clinard and Lena Pearl Landreth Clinard.  She graduated from Thomasville High School and Ashmore Business College.  She retired in 1995 from Sears and Roebuck, after 37 years of service in the administrative department.  She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Brondale Clinard; and sisters, Hilda Clinard Atwood and Selma Clinard McNeil.

Surviving is her son, Michael “Mike” Branson Parrish and wife Sharon of Thomasville; granddaughter, Ashley Parrish Plummer and husband Reid; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Duane P. Corle officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service. Mrs. Parrish will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until 30 minutes prior to the graveside service and will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM for members of the community to pay their respects.  Memorials may be directed to Fairview UMC, Memorial Fund, 2876 Old Greensboro Rd.
