Mrs. Judith Ann Swing Hooker, 83, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 7, 1942 in Thomasville to her parents, the late Jennie Rea Sullivan Swing and George Raymond Swing. Judith graduated from Pilot High School in 1960 and was a long-time member of Johnsontown UMC in Thomasville. She worked over 50 years as a sales rep for Avon and spent over 20 years sewing apron strings at home for CPP. Some of her favorite hobbies were making chicken pies and quilts to sell with her mom. On August 26, 1961 she married Richard Lynn Hooker who preceded her in death in 2010. Judith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family and she will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her two sons, Brian Hooker and wife Melody of Winston-Salem and Michael Hooker and girlfriend Debby of Thomasville; two granddaughters, Madison Hibbett and husband Josh and Megan Eagle and husband Preston, all of Lexington; her great-grandson, Rhyder Hibbett; brother-in-law, Jim Hooker; and numerous cousins and extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Darrell Sluder, Jr. officiating. The family will greet friends Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Johnsontown UMC cemetery in Thomasville.
