Judith "Judy" Carolyn (Kirkman) Hunt

Judith “Judy” Carolyn Kirkman Hunt, 80, of Lexington went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 12, 2025. Judy was born December 15, 1944 in Guilford County to the late Azer Lube Kirkman and Velma Miranda Steele. Judy was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church which she loved dearly. She served as the choir leader for numerous years and shared her love of music. She worked many years for Burlington Industries and later retired from Shelba Johnson Trucking. Judy was an avid Carolina Tar Heels basketball fan and was very patriotic and loved her country.  Her greatest joy in life was her beloved family and making memories with them.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by, her husband, Charlie "Swede" Gray Hunt on May 27, 2021; her daughter, Laura Ann Brawley; two brothers, Jack Darrell Kirkman and Donald Ray Kirkman; one sister, Marie Crews.

Surviving are her four daughters, Amy Begley (Deacon), Kelly Hulin (Allen), Evelyn McWilliams (Terry), Robin Gibbs (Mike); 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a special niece Pam Hackman and husband Earl; and an honorary family member, Kevin Myers.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Community Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Brian Workman and Terry McWilliams officiating. No formal visitation will be held. The family will greet friends at other times at Evelyn’s home, 501 Hal Parrish Road Lexington, NC 27292.
