Judith “Pauline” (Strickland) Nance

Mrs. Judith “Pauline” Strickland Nance, 80, of Trinity went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 17, 2025 at her home. Pauline was born September 3, 1945 in Harnett County, to the late Preston Strickland and Ester Addison Strickland.  Pauline worked for US Furniture Industries in the 1970’s and 80’s and retired from Carolina Business Furniture in 2010.  Pauline was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and later in life attended New Heights Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.  She enjoyed listening to Gospel music as she went through her daily activities.  On April 3, 1972, Pauline married Gerald Lewis Nance and they shared 45 years as husband and wife, before his passing in October 2017. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Pauline is preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Addams and Margaret Hobbs; four brothers, Charles Strickland, Eddie Strickland, Ronnie Strickland and Ricky Strickland. 

Surviving are her three sons, Bobby Lewis Nance also of the home, James Quentin Davis of Sunrise, FL, Michael Dewayne Davis of Carolina Beach, NC; daughter, Angela Osborne of Archdale; her sister, Gail Dupree and husband Johnny of Ayden, NC; two grandchildren, Dennis Rhoton and wife Aleah of Trinity, Emily Wright of Thomasville; nine great-grandchildren.
