Judy Embler

Judy Ann Hughes Embler, 62, of Denton passed away Monday evening, July 14, 2025 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Judy was born October 11, 1962 to Walter Hughes and Kathleen Hill Hughes in Randolph County. She was a lover of animals, enjoyed fishing, watching her favorite show “Swamp People”, feeding the deer in her yard, and most of all being with her family. Judy enjoyed growing a garden as well as being in nature. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Hughes.

In addition to her mother, surviving are her daughter, Amanda Shirley and husband Jason of Trinity; many beloved fur-babies; two half siblings; extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Pleasant Union Church in Denton. No formal visitation or public viewing will be held. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Randolph County.
