Judy Kay (White) Koontz

Mrs. Judy White Koontz, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Forsyth County on January 29 1951 to the late Hege and Frances White.  Judy grew up in Stokes County and surrounding areas. She worked at Adams Millis as a sewing technician until she met her loving husband of 53 years Bill Koontz.  From there she started working at Wonderknit in Mocksville for 15 years. Many family members and friends knew Judy as “Ann”. She loved planting, gardening, and just sitting on the porch with her puppy dog “Lilo”. She loved her family and all her friends, and there were many. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband William East Koontz, Grandson Brandon Michael Koontz, brothers Tim and Joe, and sister Marsha.

She is survived by her three sons, Mike Koontz and wife Wendy of Cooleemee, Keith Kontz and wife Robyn of Mocksville, and Chuck Koontz and wife Tracy of Lexington; two grandsons, Ian and Rylan; granddaughter, Kaitlyn; and her great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2024 at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Linville Goad officiating.  The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
