Julia Davis Hooper

Julia Davis Hooper, 71, a resident of Winston-Salem, passed away November 9, 2020.

Julia was born in Whiteville, NC (Columbus County) a daughter of the late Matthew Byrne Davis and the late Frances Sledge Davis on December 13, 1948. She earned her BS degree from UNC Greensboro and enjoyed being a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew B. Davis, Jr., her sister, Beverly Moore. Julia was married to John Veach Hooper who died January 8, 2017.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael Byrne Hooper (Karen) of Winston-Salem, Thomas Warren Hooper (Janelle) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Evan Thomas and Ava Thomas; and a sister, Beth Davis Parker (Robert) of Thomaston, Georgia.
