Karen Ann (Hutchins) Gobble

Karen Ann Hutchins Gobble, 56, of Kindley Rd. Thomasville, NC passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was born on August 4, 1965 in Columbus Co. NC, to the late Clarence Byrd Hutchins and Blanchie Soles Hutchins. She attended Love of God Baptist Church and loved gardening and going to the tanning bed. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Gobble; sister, Louvenia Morgan; and brothers, Herman Lee Spivey and James Thurman Spivey.

Surviving are her daughter, Jessica Shipton and husband Chad of Lexington; two step-sons, Allen Gobble of Lexington and Scott Gobble of Lexington; one brother, Thurston Spivey and wife Marie of Lexington; two sisters, Carol McGuire of Danville, VA and Tina Spivey of Whiteville; eight grandchildren, Melissa Bledsoe and husband Stuart of Lexington, Katie Bledsoe and husband Drew of Trinity, Nicole Gobble of Denton, Haylee Shipton of Archdale, Savanna Shipton of Lexington, Makenzie Shipton of Lexington, Jayden Gobble of Lexington, and Allison Gobble of Lexington; and four great-grandchildren, Melayna Bledsoe, Kyli Bledsoe, Parker Bledsoe, and Natalie Bledsoe.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Mike Orman officiating, in the chapel at JC Green and Sons Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St. Thomasville, NC 27360.
