Karen "Katie" Lynn (Snow) Mahaffey

Karen (Katie) Lynn Snow Mahaffey, 63, a resident of Winston-Salem, passed away unexpectedly at her home, Saturday, June 5, 2021.

A lifelong resident of Winston-Salem, Katie was born April 16, 1958, a daughter of the late Willard and Louretta Rothrock Snow. She was a self-employed caregiver, loved camping, motorcycle riding, flowers, Kid Rock and especially loved spending time with her grandson. Katie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved everyone and she will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Friedland Moravian Church. On June 20, 1975 she married Ricky Darrell Mahaffey who survives of the home.

Also surviving is her son, Damon Joshua Mahaffey (Patches) of Winston-Salem; grandson, Landen Mahaffey of Winston-Salem; brother, Tommy Snow (Corinne) of Winston-Salem; special cousins, Robin Armstrong of Clemmons, Bobby Lee Armstrong of Atlantic Beach, NC and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Friedland Moravian Church with Pastors Adam Goodrich and John G. Rights officiating. Interment will follow in the Friedland Moravian graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Thursday at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Winston-Salem (Wallburg Community).
