Katherine "Kathy" Shew Obituary
Mrs. Katherine Mae Willard Shew, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025. She was born on April 30, 1945 in High Point to her parents, the late Clara Rachel Willard and James Wesley Willard. Kathy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. She had a love for animals and children. She also enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Shew, Sr; her daughter, Pamela Duncan; three siblings, Jay Willard, Betty Williams, and Glenda Lockhart; sister-in-law, Gladys Willard; and her great-grandson, Wade.
Surviving is her daughter, Vanessa Berry (Bill Steen) three brothers, Patrick Willard (Bobbie), Eddie Willard (Gaye), and Doug Willard; four grandchildren, Amanda Collins (Scott), Sarah LaPrade, Meghan Bowman, and Wesley Freedle; and eight great-grandchildren, Haven, Bentley, Makayla, Bryson, Braylon, Navaeh, Bella, and Harley.
