Kathleen "Kat" (Swink) Cecil

Mrs. Kathleen “Kat” Swink Cecil, 84, a resident of Trinity, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at her home. She was born on August 1, 1940 in Thomasville to her parents, the late Ruth Hunt Swink and John Swink. She worked several years in the hosiery industry and attended Word of God Ministry Church in Thomasville. Her and her husband loved trips to the beach and fishing together at the coast. Kat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and she will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Cagle, Brenda Billings; and two brothers, Frank Swink and Johnny Swink.

Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Robert “Bobby” Cecil of the home; her son, Mike Cecil and wife Christal of Lexington; two grandchildren, Michael “Collin” Cecil, and Zach Johnson; two siblings, Linda Smiley and husband Benny, and Jerry Swink and wife Anita; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville. The family will greet friends Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
