Kathy (Harvell) McKenzie

Kathy (Harvell) McCann Mckenzie, 66, of Lexington went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, June 13, 2022 at her residence.

Kathy was born January 7, 1956 to the late Hugh J. Harvell and Willie Ruth Nail Harvell in Davidson County. She worked for many years as a sander in the furniture industry, retiring from Davis of High Point. She attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Thomasville.  

Surviving are her two loving daughters, Michelle Kimsey and husband Chris of Thomasville, Kelly Parker and husband Gene of Lexington; two grandsons, Dylan Parker and fiancé Kaitlyn Ortiz, Zachary Parker and fiancé Courtney Southard; a great-grandchild, on the way; step-grandchildren, Christopher Kimsey and wife Erica, and their children, Jordan and Carson, Dustin Kimsey and fiancé Kaycee Kennedy, and their children, Mackenzie and Aubree Kimsey.  

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Jack Hurley officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the chapel. Memorials may be given to the Animal Charity of the donor’s choice.
