Obituary
Kathryn “Kathy” Mae Russell, 63, a resident of Liberty Arms Court, passed away Thursday August 4, 2022 at Thomasville Medical Center. She was born November 29, 1958 in Nicholas County, WV and was the daughter of the late James Monroe Russell, Sr. and Aggie Lou Winders Russell. Kathy attended Landmark Baptist Church in Archdale, NC. She loved working with handmade crafts, Christmas decorations, floral wreaths, Kathy also enjoyed country music, and US Marine Corps Choir. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jenny Russell and Angela Russell.
Surviving family are, one son, Jonathan “Andy” Russell of Thomasville; one daughter, Stephanie Russell of Thomasville; three brothers, James Monroe Russell, Jr., Michael Russell and Robert Keith Russell, all of Thomasville, NC; one sister, Karen Foley of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Jasmine Russell, Jayden Russell, Makayla Harrington, and Leland Russell; and one great grandson, Lorenzo Hall.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Landmark Baptist Church Cemetery, Archdale, NC. with Rev. Amos Mashburn officiating. The family will greet friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at J. C. Greens & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, NC and at other times at the home of the daughter, Stephanie Russell 307 James Ave. Thomasville, NC 27360.
