Kathy (Barnes) Stabler

Kathy Barnes Stabler, 72, a life-long resident of Thomasville passed away, November 13, 2023 at her residence.  

Kathy was born August 1, 1951 to the late Clarence Boyles Barnes and Jennie Clodfelter Barnes in Davidson County. She was an employee of Thomasville Furniture Industries for over 40 years in the customer service department.  Kathy married Brent Alden Stabler on March 23, 1989, and they enjoyed 29 years together. She enjoyed flowers, shopping, decorating for the holidays, and being with her family. Her wonderful personality, humor, and smile will always be remembered.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brent Alden Stabler on December 5, 2018; four brothers, Clarence Barnes, Jr., Reid Barnes, Leon Barnes, and Jimmy Barnes; two sisters, Patsy Beck, and Sarah Ward.

Surviving are her loving daughter, Emily Hooper and husband Tim of Thomasville; a grandson, Blake Simmons of Thomasville; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Bob Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
