Kenneth (Ken) Wayne Younts, 64, of Thomasville passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at his residence.
Ken was born on December 31, 1955 to Wayne and Mary Crater Younts in Davidson County. He was a graduate of Southwest Randolph High School, class of 1974. Ken was employed by TFI for 38 years. He will be remembered for his love of music especially rock n’ roll, going to the beach, fishing, and his dedication to family. Ken was a gifted musician, playing the keyboard, guitar, sang, and most of all was an excellent bass player. He will truly be missed. Ken was preceded in death by his father.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Angela Perryman Younts of the home; his mother, Mary Younts, of the Tabernacle community; his son, Justin Canady and wife Tara of SC; his sister, Kathy Younts Lucas and husband Randy of Highlands; three nephews, David Perryman and wife Heather of Danville, VA, Matthew Lucas and wife Anna of Boone, Casey Lucas of Cherokee; great niece, Maggie Lucas; brother in law, Clyde Perryman of Thomasville; mother in law; Brady Perryman of Thomasville; many cousins, extended family, music family, and life-long friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, February, 13, 2020 at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Randy Lucas officiating.
