Kristen Nicole Trent Whitt, 36, went to her heavenly rest on June 21, 2026 at 12:10 PM due to a five-year battle with cancer.  She will be remembered as a furiously loyal friend, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and most of all a remarkable mother. 

Kristen was born in High Point, NC on January 8, 1990.  She graduated from South Davidson High School in 2008.  She also attended Davidson County Community College and Guilford Technical School where she majored in cosmetology and medical billing.  Before her illness, she worked several years at LabCorp as a medical billing specialist. 

Kristen had a love of everything Tim Burton and Disney.  She had an adventurous soul and was always willing to try and do new things.  She had a passion for crafting of all kinds.  She enjoyed traveling with her family and playing with her kids.  It was her greatest wish to travel to Disney with her four children before her illness made that impossible.  Her greatest joy in the world were her four children, Summer (15), Gracie (9), Ethan and Scarlett (5). 

Kristen is survived by her four children, her mother Marsha Shuler (Chuck); father Doug Trent (Sandra); brother Danny Trent (Kim); Aunt Melany Shuler, grandparents Verlon and Linda Shuler, Danny and Jean Trent; several step brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service to celebrate Kristen’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026 at J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville, NC, with Pastor Mike Stocks, officiating.  The family will greet friends prior to the service from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to help fund Kristen’s four children’s education. Go Fund Me Link   Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
