Larry Raymond Sheppard, 74, of Burlington passed away September 10, 2023 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Hospital in Burlington. Larry was born February 22, 1949 in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Raymond P. Sheppard and Ester Elizabeth Gravley. Larry worked several years as a mechanic and delivering mail and newspapers. He absolutely loved working on old cars and listening to his country music, loud and proud. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Doris Jean Sheppard; dear companion, Flora Mae Gravley; and one sister.

Surviving are his three sons, Sammy Gravley, Larry Sheppard, Joseph Reid; one daughter, Virginia Martinez; two brothers, Ralph Sheppard, Garland Sheppard; ten grandchildren.
