Larry Hoyle Briggs

Mr. Larry Hoyle Briggs, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his home.  He was born on August 14, 1944 in Davidson County, NC to Miller Hoyle Briggs and Anita Briggs Hopkins.  He worked in the furniture industry for 50 years as a leather craftsman. Larry loved traveling and had a passion for his companion dogs.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Kelli Craven.

In 1983, he married Nanci Lohr Craven, who survives of the home; also surviving is his daughter, Ashley Briggs Greer (Jonathan) of VA; his son, Clint Briggs (Deanna) of Thomasville; step-son, Jonathan Craven of Kernersville; sisters, Sylvia Gallimore (Gary) of Lexington and Debbie Newell (Bill) of Kernersville; and five grandchildren, Jonah, Elijah, and Alex Craven, Grayson Greer, and Payton Steed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Wellspring Community Church in Thomasville.  Memorials may be directed to the Davidson County Animal Shelter, 490 Glendale Rd.
