Laura Michelle Murdock, 39, a resident of Davidson County passed away on July 29, 2022. She was born in Thomasville on January 17, 1983, a daughter to Jerry Allen Murdock and Bonnie Martin Murdock. She was a member of Rich Fork Baptist Church. Laura was a graduate from East Davidson High School and attended the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She was an avid fan of her Tarheels. Laura will always be remembered for her infectious smile, sense of humor, but mainly her unconditional love that she had for her son, Jackson. He was the light of her life. She was always a happy person and could light up any room that she walked in. Laura loved to read books, do arts and crafts especially with her son and had a shoe collection that many would envy. She loved and adored her family and as her son put it, “she always looked forward to good and valuable time spent with family and friends”. Laura was preceded in death by a sister, Katie Diane Murdock and grandfathers, Rev. Bobby H. Martin and Larry Allen Murdock. She also leaves behind many beloved extended relatives and friends.
Surviving is her mother, Bonnie Martin Murdock of High Point; father, Jerry Allen Murdock of Thomasville; son, Jackson Murdock of High Point; brother, Ryan Anthony Murdock of High Point; grandmothers, Cladis Martin Myers of High Point and Gayle Johnson Murdock of Thomasville.
A private family service will be held with Rev. Michael Bowers officiating.
