Lawrence (Chuck) Chester Woolard, Sr.

Lawrence Chester "ChucK" Woolard of Winston Salem, NC passed away on May 17, 2025 at Hospice Home of High Point.

Known as Chuck, he was born on August 21st, 1943 in High Point to parents Wade Woolard and Thelma Huffman. He was preceded in death by his two sisters Janelle Turner and Ruth Robertson.

Chuck grew up in High Point where he attended High Point Central High School. He served in the Army and enjoyed playing baseball. He lived most of his adult life in Winston Salem and was self-employed until his retirement. Chuck was a frequent diner at restaurant in Winston however he did not mind the drive to Archdale for a hot dog from Archdale Soda Shop! Always being particular about his hair, Chuck still went to Dennis the barber in High Point. He thought his hair was well worth the drive. One of his joys was being and active member of the Salem 0289 Masons.

Chuck was a father of two children, son Chuck Jr (Kerri) and daughter Annette Justice (Chris). He was a grandfather of four grandchildren, Austin Woolard (Madyson) Savannah Segers (Christian), Ireland Justice and Baron Justice.  One great granddaughter Daisy Woolard.

He was preceded in death by one nephew and is survived by two nieces and two nephews.

Services will be held at JC Green Funeral home, 10301 North NC Hwy 109, Winston Salem on Thursday May 22 with Rev. Tim James officiating. Visitation from 5:30 – 6:30 pm with service following at 6:30 pm.

We would like to give a very special thank you to Palliative Care unit at Forsyth Hospital and the Hospice Home of High Point.  These nurses and doctors are angels sent from above.  Thank you, it cannot be said enough for all you did for our Daddy.
