Mr. Lee Otis Lindsay, 76, of Thomasville passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 at his home. Otis was born September 23, 1949 in Anson County, North Carolina to the late Johnny Smith and Geneva Lindsay. Along with his parents, he preceded in death by his grandson, RaQuan Baxter. Otis was a faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in High Point, which he loved dearly. He worked many years delivering furniture all over. Otis was known for his fashionable style and avid love of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed hosting and cooking delicious meals with his homemade, signature barbecue sauce. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his beloved family and taking care of them. Anyone who crossed path with Otis was sure to leave with a smile, lifted by his quick wit and wonderfully unfiltered humor.
Surviving is his loving wife of 50 plus years, Betty Baxter Lindsay of the home; four daughters, Asia Barnes Singleton, Tammy Gordon (Roy), Shonda Baxter (Wesley), Shannon Baxter (James); four brothers, John Smith, David Smith, Charles Lindsay, and James Lindsay; three sisters, Veda Smith, Mary Hester Streater, Irene Lindsay; six grandchildren, Robtez, Jquan, Tavis, Serenity, Promise, and Jermaine Jr. He also left behind a host of great grandchildren, his extended family, the Martin's, sister & brother in laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 903 E Kearns Ave, High Point with Rev. Alphonso Martin officiating. The family will greet friends Friday, February 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home, 122 W. Main Street, Thomasville.
