Lewis Riley Love

Mr. Lewis Riley Love, 76, a resident of Old Highway 29, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.  He was born on April 14, 1945 in Dillon County, SC to Maston Stephenson Love and Emmer May Caulder Love.  He was a US Army veteran having served in Korea during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Columbia Panel Company and attended Southgate Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gay Nell Gordon Love on November 12, 2018, whom he married in 1994; brothers, James William Love, Leroy Roland Love, and Sellers Lavon Love; and sister, Sarah Mae Love.

Surviving are his brothers, Maston Love, Jr. and wife Billie Sue of Lexington, Donald Philip Love and wife Patsy of Thomasville, Arthur Lee Love of Denton, and Harolson Inman Love and wife Phyllis of Silver Valley; sister, Norma Love Kivett of Trinity; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Russel Fox officiating.  Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  Online condolences may be sent to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
