Linda Kay Hunt Dickens, 73, of Thomasville went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Linda was born June 9, 1948 to the late Glenn Hunt and Girt Embler Hunt in Davidson County. She was a former employee of Henredon Furniture and Carolina Business Furniture as an upholstery sewer. She also loved to work in her yard and garden. Linda was a faithful member of New Grace Baptist Church in Thomasville.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her five siblings; Gilbert Hunt, Tony Hunt, Dale Hunt, Tilda Cox, and Joyce Jackson. Surviving is her loving husband of 45 years, Charles Bennett Dickens of the home; a son, Christopher Burris and wife Jenean of Thomasville; her beloved grandson, Bronson Boone Burris; a brother, Johnny Hunt and wife Myra of Thomasville; two sisters, Mary Sage and husband Randy of High Point, Louise Hunt of Thomasville.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Donnie Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home.
