Lindsay "Bernard" Ferrell

Lindsay “Bernard” Ferrell, 87, of Thomasville, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Thomasville. Bernard was born on November 4, 1933 in Denton to the late Samuel Ferrell and Grace Cox Ferrell. He worked many years owning and operating service stations in the Davidson County area and also worked at Thomasville Furniture and Central Carolina. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Hasty Baptist Church in Thomasville. Through the years Bernard never met a stranger and was known as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Inez Gallimore Ferrell, and brother, Alvin Ferrell.

Surviving are his two sons, Terry B. Ferrell and wife Linda of Thomasville, Mike Ferrell and wife Cathy of Denton; three grandchildren, Max Ferrell and wife Whitney of Winston-Salem, Emily Jordan and husband Zach of High Point, Christopher Ferrell and wife Sarah of Thomasville; three great-grandchildren, Fletcher Ferrell, Lillian Jordan, and Mary Gayle Jordan; one sister, Elizabeth Loftin and husband James “Funny” of Denton; and sister-in-law, Pauline Ferrell of Denton.

A memorial service will be held at Hasty Baptist Church in Thomasville on Saturday, July 17th, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a visitation beforehand at 10:00 AM.
