Margie Lucille Hollingsworth Pinson, also lovingly known as Aunt Jack, 93, died Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Abbotts Creek Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 23, 1932 in Newton, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Alg and Pearlie (Gibbs) Hollingsworth.
Lucille graduated from Lawrence High School in 1950. Following high school, she married the love of her life, Kline Edmond Pinson, of Little Rock, Mississippi on May 19, 1951. They were happily married for 32 years until his untimely passing in 1982.
Lucille worked as an upholstery seamstress and inspector at William Alan, Inc. in High Point, NC from 1960 until 2002. From 2003 until 2018, she worked part-time for Carolina Upholstery. The family attended Hasty Baptist Church in Thomasville. Later, Lucille and Kline Pinson were faithful members of Allendale Baptist Church in High Point.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall and Otis; three sisters, Annie, Katie and Mae; and an infant daughter, Judy.
Surviving are her two daughters, June Plummer and husband Steve, “Jo” Ann Caudle and husband Grady; her son, Kline Edmond Pinson, Jr. and wife Theresa; her beloved grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Meredith, Andrew, Richard, Cathy, Cindy, and Mark; her great grandchildren, Christian, Mackenzie, Alexis, Jasmine, Emma, William, Milly, Becky, Lillian, Mikey, Leonardo, Michaelangelo, and Luke; and great-great grandchildren, Lilli and Thomas. Also surviving are her special nieces, Alice Farabee and husband Joe, Florine Addy; nephews, Hubert Richardson and wife, Diane, David Penson and wife Jean, and Jimmy, Joe, and Buddy Watkins.
Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law to her family and she will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, with her nephew, Joe Farabee, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Floral Garden Cemetery in High Point. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon at the funeral home and at other times at each respective family members’ home.
