Lynette Roseman Fink Obituary

Celebrating the Life of Lynette Roseman Fink December 18, 1942 – March 19, 2026

Lynette Roseman Fink passed from this life after a brief illness on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Hinkle House Hospice of Davidson County in Lexington, NC. She was 83 years old and had lived them fully.

Born December 18, 1942, to the late Harry and Alta Roseman in China Grove, NC, Lynette grew into a woman of remarkable energy, humor, and a sense of adventure. On August 11, 1962, she married G. Michael “Mike” Fink, and together they built a life that was by all measures a love story — 61 years of partnership, laughter, and shared wandering. Mike preceded her in 2023, and now they are reunited.

Lynette’s working life was as varied as her spirit. She typed for Hoover’s FBI, served as a legal secretary, worked as a construction site secretary during the building of Carowinds, and eventually joined Mike at G. Michael Fink, CPA — where she likely kept things running better than anyone admitted.

But it was out in the world where Lynette truly came alive. She and Mike hiked the Grand Canyon, camped within the Arctic Circle, and explored the National Parks of the American West with a sense of wonder that never faded. In the late 1980s, she embarked on a solo adventure that said everything about who she was: riding Amtrak lines across the country, alone, until she had logged more than 50,000 miles in a single year. She went because she wanted to. That was Lynette.

“Wherever she was, there was laughter and joy. If you were loved by her, you were loved fiercely.”

She is survived by her daughter, Leanne Fink Voss (husband Stefan) of Greenville, SC; her son, Gary Michael Fink, Jr. of China Grove, NC; grandson Brandon Kyle Fink (wife Katelyn) of Thomasville, NC; eight great-grandchildren, Danielle, Brody, Frankie, Jaylyn, Marlee, Karis, Ella, and Octavia; and her sister, Janice Miller Shu of Lynchburg, VA. Her brother Harold preceded her in death by only days.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery, 1415 South Main Street, China Grove, NC, with her nephew, Chaplain Darren Miller, officiating. In keeping with Lynette’s wishes, her ashes will be mixed with Mike’s and scattered over the Grand Canyon — carried there by her son, grandson, and great-grandson, Brody.
