Marie (Procter) Flinchum

Marie Procter Flinchum, 79, of Clemmons, NC and formerly of Winston-Salem passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

Marie was born March 9, 1947 in Forsyth County, NC a daughter of the late William Thomas Procter and the late Vergie Marie Luffman Procter and had made Forsyth County her home most of her life. Marie worked in the banking business with Forsyth County Credit Union. Marie enjoyed shopping, sewing, crafts, gardening and cooking. She loved her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Mallard Ridge and her caregivers Tasha and Tina for the love and care given to Marie. On August 10, 1968 she married Terry Franklin Flinchum who preceded her in death on January 6, 2020.

Surviving is her daughters, Wendy Cox and her husband Danny and Gina Kozee and her husband Fred all of Lexington, NC; her grandchildren, Lane Kozee, Kate Lynne Kozee, Brandon Cox and Danielle Cox; great-grandchildren, Kamdon Kozee and Sutton Marie Kozee; her sister, Barbara Sechrist and her husband Mitchell of Winston-Salem, NC; and niece, Stacy Sechrist.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Walkertown, NC with Rev. Jim Summey officiating. There will not be a public visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Suite 999, Charlotte, NC 28215.
