Marie Bibb Raye, 98, of Thomasville passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at Atrium Health Lexington Medical Center. Marie was born December 01, 1923 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Lemuel Bibb and Gladys Condrey Bibb. She was of the Baptist faith. Marie and her husband, William “Bill” raised four boys, she was a wonderful mother that took pride in caring for her boys. She enjoyed traveling. Marie retired from Alma Desk in High Point, North Carolina with 18 years of service. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” M. Raye in 1976; two sons, Raymond Lowery Raye; Warren Thomas Raye.

Surviving are her two sons, Glenn Wayne Raye and wife Bibiane “Bib”, Theodore Eugene “Gene” Raye; one daughter/granddaughter, Sandy Raye Nobles; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and her dear friend, Roger.

A Graveside service will be held Friday, August 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville with Rev. Bynum Orr. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
