Mr. Marshall Grant Dameron, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 while at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Caswell County on April 23, 1929 to the late Walter and Lillian Fuqua Dameron. Mr. Dameron was retired from AT&T where he served as a coordinator. In recent month’s Grant found a rejuvenated love of life after the passing of his loving wife with the family at Little Cedar where friends gathered twice a week to listen to the locals sing and play country and bluegrass music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy “Dot” Walters Dameron.
Grant is survived by his children, Marshall “Blake” Dameron and wife Linda of Cape Canaveral, Fl., Sandra Dameron Utberg and husband Chuck of Gibsonville, and Beverly Dameron Bjorling and husband Terry of Winston-Salem; sisters, Mable McKinney and Nancy Dameron of Burlington; four grandchildren, Bandi Dameron Boltz (Ben), Jarret Bjorling (Amanda Sizemore), Erik Bjorling (Haley Foster), and Marshall Bjorling; and four great-grandchildren, Ellie Boltz, Ian Bjorling, Ylva Bjorling, and Ulrich Bjorling. A special gratitude to friends, Joe and Krista Byrd and all the other caring neighbors.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering of friends will begin prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, 10301 N. NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem.
