Martha Faye (Nobles) Ward

Mrs. Martha Faye Nobles Ward, 79, a resident of High Point, passed away after a long battle with Cancer March 26, 2020 in Hospice Home of High Point. She was born in Columbus County to the late Jessie Wilson and Annie Ruth Powers Nobles on August 9, 1940. She retired from Winter Bell Company after many years of service. On February 6, 1959 she married Thurman Eugene Ward. While her husband was living, Mrs. Ward enjoyed going out to eat, traveling to the beach, mountains, and lake, and especially loved having oyster roasts. She loved her family and friends very much.  Mrs. Ward was a member of Joy Community Church in High Point. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Thurman Ward.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her daughters, Debbie Tysinger and husband Doug of Trinity and Rachel Grimmett of  Archdale; brother, Harold Wayne Nobles and wife Wanda of Chadbourn, NC; sister, Betty Jean Batton of Chadbourn, NC; grandchildren, Ashley and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Mason and Grayson; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, who was more like a sister, Linda Howard of Randleman.
