Mary Ella (Hunt) Jordan

Mrs. Mary Ella Hunt Jordan, 90, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born on February 2, 1935 in Thomasville to her parents, the late Verdie Hill Hunt and Dave Thomas Hunt. Mary was a longtime member of Midway School Road Baptist Church in Thomasville. When she was younger, she had a talent for crocheting. Even though she was blind most of her adult life, she never let that alter her way of living. She was still a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker to her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two grandsons, Andy and Adam Gallimore; four sisters, Lillian Cardwell, Laura Garner, Doris Varner, and Rachel Chaney; and three brothers, Artie, Everette, and Jerry Hunt.

Surviving is her husband of 68 years, Elmer Glen Jordan of the home; her two daughters, Cynthia Daniels (Doug) and Tamara Gallimore (Eddie); one son, Terry Jordan (Judy); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville with Rev. Robert Walker officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons funeral home in Thomasville. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com
