Mary Lee Walker, 84, of Thomasville went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at her home.
Mary was born on July 16, 1936 to the late Lindsey Albert Hunt and Mattie Leonard Hunt. She worked for some time at Thomasville Furniture Industries. Mary was a faithful member of Love of God Baptist Church in Thomasville. She enjoyed the company of her church family, especially with her “eating out girls” on Thursday and Sunday. Mary was faithful to the Lord and devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Walker; a great-grandson, Justin Wayne Hunt; a brother, Raymond Hunt; a son-in-law, Jay Harrison. Surviving is her three children, David Ray Walker, Jr. (Connie Roach) of Thomasville, Bobbie Harrison of Kernersville, Debbie Hunt (Rocky) of Lexington; five grandchildren, Michelle Hunt (Larry McAdams), Jonathan Walker (Kelly), Brandy Butler (Michael), Shannon Walker (Ashlee), Travis Walker; six great-grandchildren, Hannah Whitaker (Tristin Bailey), Madelyn Walker, Kinlee Walker, Mason Butler, Harper Walker and Finley Walker.
A homegoing service will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel with Bro. Mike Orman officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mask and social distancing will be observed for all events. Following the funeral on Wednesday, the family will gather at the home of Mary. The family would like to extended a special “thank you” to Larry McAdams for his exceptional care and concern for Mawmaw. Memorials may be directed to Love of God Baptist Church.
