Mary Frances Tallent Eury

Mrs. Mary Frances Tallent Eury, 76, formerly of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Compass Healthcare & Rehab Hawfields in Mebane, NC.  She was born on April 22, 1949 in Cleveland County, NC to Howard Jessie Tallent and Myrtle Marie Liverett Tallent.  She worked in the furniture industry the majority of her working life at Miller Desk, Marsh Furniture, among others and after worked as a nursing assistant.  She loved her family, Jesus, collecting anything and everything, John Deere tractors, and wrestling, especially John Cena.  She was a member of Friendly Gospel Baptist Church and was affectionately called “Tough Ol’ Bird” by her husband, Frank.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Franklin “Frank” Eury on January 24, 2020; her son, Robert Franklin Eury on June 27, 2025; her brother, Lewis Tallent; and her twin sister, Martha Ann Tallent.

Surviving is her daughter, Crystal Eury Goddard and husband Greg of Haw River, NC; her three grandchildren, Christopher Eury, Liam Goddard, and Luna Goddard; her brother, Don Youngblood of Thomasville; her four sisters, Vickie Hoover of Asheboro, Peggy Jones of Kings Mountain, Kathy Hunt of Thomasville, and Christine McIntosh of Randleman; her special roommate at Compass, Maizie Perry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Friendly Gospel Baptist Church in Thomasville, NC with Pastor Darrell Summey officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.  Online condolences may be sent to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
