Meredith Ann Pinkston

Meredith Ann Pinkston, 48 of Winston-Salem, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Meredith was born on June 21, 1974, to parents, Steve and Susan Pinkston.

After graduating from Glenn High School in 1992, Meredith became a CNA and caregiver. Meredith cared passionately for all living things. Food was her love-language, and she enjoyed cooking for others and sharing her recipes. Meredith was also responsible for planning holiday meals with her family, something they will cherish forever. She also enjoyed fishing, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and especially loved supporting animal rescue organizations.

Preceding Meredith in death is her father, Gary Stephen Pinkston.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Susan Smith Pinkston, of the home; sister, Kathleen Capshaw (Leigh Capshaw) of Crozet, VA; Aunt, Roma Welch (Benny) of Winston-Salem; nephew, Matthew Capshaw; niece, Sarah Capshaw; longtime friend, Eddie Parks of Winston-Salem; fur-baby, Toby (her rescue dog); and a loving extended family.

A celebration of life will be held at Home Moravian Church (529 S. Church St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101) on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 2:00pm with Rev. Ginny Tobiassen officiating. The family will greet friends in the church parlor following the service.
