Michael Richardson Obituary
Michael B. Richardson, 75, died on Saturday morning, February 14, 2026, after a hard fought 3-year battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bruce and Charlotte Richardson, and by his first wife, Martha Ann (d. 1993), with whom he shared 23 years and two sons: Brian (Catie) of Stockton, MD and Joey (Katie) of Browns Summit, NC. He was proud of his three beautiful grandchildren; Taylor, Will and Gwyn.
In 1996, Michael married Susan “Sue” Lowrey, who survives him, along with their daughter, Carly of Raleigh, NC.
Michael served the City of High Point for 36 years, first with the Fire Department and then with 911 Communications. He loved hiking, kayaking, his Jeep and his beloved Husky, Mishka. Our family would like to thank our constant friend, Dana Smith, who has been with us through this cancer battle, every step of the way. And we would like to thank Michael’s oncologist, Dr. Kalsoom Khan, who cared for us with all the ups and downs cancer delivers.
