Mr. Michael Bodenheimer, 73, of Thomasville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 18, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1952, to the late Hoyt Basil Bodenheimer and Mary Neal Yarbrough Bodenheimer.
Mike had a generous spirit and faithfully served his community by volunteering with the Fair Grove Fire Department and Friends Disaster Service. He spent 35 years at Duke Energy, and upon his retirement, he enjoyed more time with his hobbies, which included attending classic car shows and photography. He delivered Meals on Wheels and cherished spending time with his family. Also, he served as President of the Duke Energy Retirees Association.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Bodenheimer, and his very special cousin, Keith Kindley, who was one of his best friends.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Wanda Bowers Bodenheimer, of the home; his son, Jason Bodenheimer of Thomasville; his daughter, Jennifer Hoover and husband, Daniel Hoover of Trinity; one precious granddaughter, Kallie Hoover; his brother, Steve Bodenheimer and wife Tammy of Thomasville; a sister-in-law, Nancy Bodenheimer of Thomasville; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were special to him.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. A celebration of life will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Bethel Global Methodist Church in Thomasville with Pastor Reuben Rinker officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bethel Global Methodist Church, 508 Fisher Ferry Street, Thomasville, NC 27360.
