Michael Wayne Bolling

Michael Wayne Bolling, 76, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Born on March 12, 1950, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Micheal was the only son of the late Francis Andrew and Nell Alberta (Little) Bolling. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Trevor-Wayne Martin and his loving sister Kay Whichard.

Michael graduated from Parkland High School in 1968. Michael had a love for music. Singing came natural to him; he had a wonderful voice. Michael was a member of a local band as a drummer and vocalist. His daughter would tell you he sounded even better than Randy Owen

Michael lived with his daughter and son-in-law since 2020. Michael took great joy in sharing meals, celebrating birthdays, and holidays with his family. Michael’s most recent love was his daily playtime with his great granddaughter, Delilah, whom he adored.  Michael's family and friends will tell you he was a funny guy, making others laugh. He was extremely creative; there wasn't much he couldn't fix or build. Michael was also an animal lover. Michael will be dearly missed.

Surviving is his beloved daughter, Tinily Groves and her husband John; granddaughters, Breece Binkley, Miranda Myers and her husband Levi; great granddaughter, Delilah Binkley; grandsons, Patrick Groves and Brody Groves; two sisters, Barbara Jean (BJ) Zenner and Tena Brass; brother-in-law; Jack Whichard, nephews; Brian Whichard, Zane Whichard, Philip Brass, and Nicholas Brass and several cousins.
