Michael Renee' Couch

Mr. Michael Renee’ Couch, 74 of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and son on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Michael was born August 2, 1951 in Forsyth County, Winston-Salem, NC a son of the late Robert James Couch and the late Ruby Irene Dowell Couch and had made this area his home most of his life. Michael was a retired truck driver for Triad Masonry Company. After retirement he became part owner of V’s Treasures. Michael was a musician playing in a local band and also enjoyed playing music at his church. Michael loved Jesus and was a loving husband, father and uncle and loved spending time with his wife Valerie and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy Gray Couch, Robert James Couch, Jr. and his sister Carol Couch Whisenhunt.

Surviving is his loving wife Valerie Schlaud Couch of the home whom he married May 29, 1976; his son Brent Michael Couch of Winston-Salem and several in-laws including the Schlaud family.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Shaw officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home 10301 N. NC Highway 109, Winston-Salem, NC is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Michael’s memory may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
