Michael Shane Davis Obituary

The Green Bay Packers took one small step closer to another LONG SHOT chance at a super bowl win, when lifetime Heckler, Aaron Rodgers critic, and ultimate Bears fan, Shane Davis, made His way home to the Big Soldier Field in Glory, also known to non Bears fans as Heaven. He knew that Jesus would be greeting him! They had come to know each other well, and while they spent time together each morning over coffee so he didn’t lose the streak in his devotion app, they had also been known to hang out on Sunday afternoons during football season, talking about why the Bears couldn’t find a quarterback.

He arrived in Glory greeted by a great cloud of witnesses, including his mother, Barbara Ann Davis, father, Ned Davis, and many others. Staying behind as the new reigning leader of the Davis-Bears Fan club, his wife April Davis, joined by daughters, Mikayla Davis Newnam & husband Mathew Newnam, Kylie Davis, Taylor Davis, along with bonus son and Panthers defector, Conner Coble, Bears fan hold out, bonus son, Naval AMAN Caleb Coble, sister Laurie Foster (who he loved to annoy but always protected), and niece Shay Foster.

The few lucky enough to have seen his new Bears den bonus room, were also known as his best friends & brothers. They knew him as the loyal, competitive, and larger than life fire ball of joy that he was. His family was his everything and to this day anyone that knew him well knew he thought his 3 girls were his crowning achievement. He would get calls or FaceTime from any of them daily, whether they were driving home from work, straightening their hair, or just bored wanted to talk.

The last five years he spent learning to forgive the past and embrace love in a way that he would say was beyond what he thought ever possible, when he met April, aka.. Sugar, his baby, his everything.  If you saw them together you almost hated to interrupt them. Whether in a crowded room, an empty dance floor, or their endless kitchen karaoke nights, they only saw each other. They built a life of unselfish love, acceptance, & adventure that touched the lives of most all that knew them!

Shane would want to leave everyone with the following truths..

1.  Jesus is the way and you dont have to earn it.
2.  #SeizetheDavis- don’t ever pass by a moment to give or receive love!
3.  Holding your wife & daughters purse in the airport will haunt you forever when they send you selfies with Brian Urlacher from one gate over!
