Minnie Marie McKnight

Minnie Marie McKnight, 62, of Thomasville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at her home. Minnie was born July 8, 1962 in Sumter County, South Carolina to the late Albert McKnight and Bessie Mae Wells McKnight. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church in Thomasville. Minnie loved traveling and being a part of the UBC mime ministry, sharing the good news of Gods goodness. She worked many years at Exopack in the warehouse until her declining health. Minnie loved life, she enjoyed shopping at Wal-Mart and Amazon, tending to flowers, eating at her favorite restaurants. Her greatest love was the time spent with her family and the memories made. She will be greatly missed. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Bowman.

Surviving is her son, Vander McKnight-Cook (Asja Webster); three brothers, Albert McKnight (Phyllis), James McKnight (Tammy), and Gary McKnight (Tarlesia); five sisters, Bobby Caldwell (Willie), Esther Burke (James), Marilyn Carrington, Margaret Broadway (Lee), and Juanita Vinson (Travis); a special niece, Angela McKnight; one grandson, Zyaire. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Patricia Little and Joyce Johnson.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church in Thomasville with Rev. Van R. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
