Misty Dawn (Miller) Newlon

Misty Dawn (Miller) Newlon, 55, of Lexington, born April 12,1965, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 4, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, L.C. Lyn & Frances (Christy) Miller; a brother, William Todd Miller, and her granddaughter, Temperance Miller.

Surviving is her sister, Krista Snyder of Barboursville, WV; three children, William Landon and Jessica Miller of Salisbury, NC, Lanna Lynne Hall (Miller) and Ginny Hall of Lexington, NC and Brittany Nicole (Newlon) Martinez and Matthew Martinez of Huntington, WV; her boyfriend of 31 years, “Bird” Ronald Hartsell: eight grandchildren, a niece, a nephew, seven great-nieces and nephews, two great-great nephews and nieces.

She was known as a loving and caring mother. One who went above and beyond when she could. She was known by her warm and caring aura, her smile lit up the room. Like many mothers, she chose to do right by her children, those she loved, seeing that everyone was taken care of and had all they needed. Her favorite drink was Pepsi, her favorite color was yellow, her heart was her family. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home chapel in Thomasville. The family will greet friends following the service.
