Mr. Monroe Hart, 72, of Thomasville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Monroe was born October 25, 1949 in Richmond County to the late Woodrow Hart and Ethel McCaskill Hart. Monroe worked many years in the furniture industry at Thomasville Furniture. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Monroe was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. His greatest joy in life was his family and spending time with them. He was a faithful father, brother, grandfather and friend; he will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving is his son, Lynrose Hart of High Point; two daughters, Vanessa Hart of Florence, SC and Cierra Hart of Thomasville; seven brothers, James Hart and wife Annie of Florence, SC, Jimmy Hart and wife Ann of Florence, SC, Willie Hart and wife Helen of Darlington, SC, Calvin Hart and wife Judy of Thomasville, Lewis Gregg of Greensboro, Charles Capers and wife Shirley of Thomasville, Larry Murray and wife Marcie Rock Hill, SC ; three sisters, Eva Mae Brown of West Palm Beach, Florida, Averee Gregg of Thomasville, and Piphine Hart of Thomasville; he also leaves behind four grandchildren and a special nephew, Ron Gregg.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 12:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Elder Raymond Foxe, Sr., Bishop Kenneth Swaringer, Bishop Joseph Hines, Pastor Tommy Hart officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home.
