Nancy Russell Gordon, 77, of Thomasville passed away, Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Thomasville Medical Center.

Nancy was born July 19, 1948 to the late Wade Harley Russell and Lola Rushing Russell of Davidson County. She was a longtime employee for the United States Postal Service as a clerk. Nancy was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Thomasville. She will be remembered for her love of yard sells, watching her favorite shows like Family Feud and Crime TV, but most of all, the love she showed for her family and husband.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Tony Harold Gordon; a brother, Gary Russell.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Max Gordon and wife Glenda, Matt Gordon and wife Lisa, all of Thomasville; two siblings, Jackie Wade Russell and wife Donna of Roanoke, VA, Lynn Rhyne and husband Joe of Dallas, NC; three beloved grandchildren, Chance, Krista, and Harleigh Gordon; her puppy dog, Satin.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Thomasville with Rev. Dr. Keith Carroll and Rev. Luke Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the hospice organization of the donor’s choice.
