Pamela Lynne Ashmore, 74, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at her home. She was born on May 31, 1951 in Charlotte to her parents, the late Harry Ashmore and Anne Grimes Ashmore. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in History from North Carolina State University, along with a master’s degree in Education from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Pam worked several years at the Thomasville DMV as a school bus instructor. She also taught History and GED Studies at Davidson County Community College. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant brother, James Dennis Ashmore.
Surviving is her brother, Jeffrey Ashmore; two nephews, Joshua Ashmore (Kate), and Jayden Ashmore; great-niece/nephews, Kelli Ashmore, Taylor Ashmore, Zoe Ashmore, and Willow Ashmore; her uncle, Neal Grimes (Laura); and several extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville with Dr. Mark Branson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com
