Patricia 'Pat' (Blackburn) Byerly

Patricia ‘Pat’ Blackburn Byerly, 71, originally of Wallburg passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born on September 24, 1948 in Forsyth County to the late Herman and Alma Wood Blackburn.  Patricia was a member of Potters Clay Baptist Church and will be remembered as a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a humble and kind person to all she met. Pat was retired as a coach operator for Hi-Tran. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Blackburn.

Surviving is a daughter, Stephenie Keaton and husband Mike of Yadkinville; son, Elonzo ‘Lonnie’ Ward, III and wife Ashley of Lexington; two granddaughters, Carrie McKenzie Keaton, and Lillian Nicole Ward; and pets, Brandy and Leroy Brown.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Wallburg with the Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Pat will be placed in the chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning.  No formal visitation will be held.  Memorial gifts may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation of N.C.
