Mrs. Patricia “Gail” Swaney, 74, of Denton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 13, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Gail was born November 21, 1948 in Knox County, Tennessee to the late Robert Butler and Bertha Elizabeth Roberts. Gail was a faithful member of Jackson Creek Baptist Church in Denton, but also had a special place in her heart for Bethany Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was her beloved family. She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; she will be greatly missed by many. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vaughan Butler, Gerald Butler, Donnie Butler; three grandchildren, Tiffany Williams, Anna Pait, Austin Williams; father-in-law, John Lee Swaney; mother-in-law, Linda Bernice Swaney; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Hoffman and Carl Swaney

Surviving is her husband Sam Swaney of the home; one daughter, Teresa Williams (Jamie); two sons, Tim Pait (Lagenia), Mark Pait (Alli); four brothers, Bobby Butler, David Butler(Gloria), Lynn Butler (Brenda), John Butler (Joann); two sisters, Cynthia Kinlaw (Kenny), Deborah Butler; six grandchildren, Amber Williams, Ashley Coffey (Dayton), Erica Pait, Taylor Pait, Julie Pait, Nick Pait,; one great-grandchild, Charity Coffey; sister-in-law, Rebecca Eddinger (Timmy); brother-in-law, Dowe Swaney.
