Pattie Hedrick Obituary

Pattie Ann Lambeth Hedrick, 86, a resident of Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, March 30, 2025, at High Point Hospital.  Pattie was born on April 20, 1938, in Davidson County, at her parent’s home, the late Aurther Franklin Lambeth and Grovie Gooch Lambeth.  On November 29, 1958, Pattie married Richard Hedrick and they enjoyed 44 years together as husband and wife, before his passing in August 2002.  She worked in textiles at Kayby Mills and retired from Brayton International, after many loyal years in January 2003.  Pattie was a member of Emanuel Reformed Church and was very active in many aspects of the church, including, President of the Young at Heart Sunday School Class, the Ladies Circle and served as an Elder and President of the Consistory.  Pattie was also a member of the “Bead Sisters” – a group of ladies who made jewelry, went on trips together and just genuinely enjoyed each other’s’ company.  She loved to spend time caring for her flowers and took care of her yard, for as long as she was able. Pattie also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the “light of her life”, her grandson Zack.  She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Pattie is preceded in death by her two brothers, Tom Lambeth and Everette “Jib” Lambeth.

Left to cherish Pattie’s memory is her daughter, Regina Hedrick-Ayers and husband Gary of Trinity; her sister, Fleta Barker and husband Leo of Lexington; her grandson, Zack Ayers; special niece, Carolyn Ray; special friend Teresa and Doug Lowe; several other nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery 401 West Holly Hill Road, Thomasville, with Pastor Ricky Payne officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery.  The family would like to thanks the staff and friends at Piedmont Crossing for the love and care they showed Pattie over the last year.  Memorials in Pattie’s honor may be given to Emanuel Reformed Church 128 Cedarland Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360.
