Peggy Lou Hoover Kindley Obituary

Mrs. Peggy Lou Hoover Kindley, 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Westchester Manor Nursing Center in High Point.  She was born on April 11, 1943 in Randolph County, NC to John David Hoover and Sallie Younts Hoover.  She graduated from Farmer High School, was a receptionist for more than 30 years at Carolina Underwear, and was an assistant teacher at Pilot Elementary School. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and she enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher, singing in the church choir, and serving during Vacation Bible School at other various churches in the community.  She loved shopping, getting bargains at Good Will, and collecting antiques.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee “Bob” Kindley on August 11, 2007, whom she married on November 4, 1961; a grandson, Zachary Scott Kindley; sister, Shirley Hoover Hunt; and brothers, David Hoover, Jr., Bobby Hoover, Eugene Hoover, Tommy Hoover, and Harvey Hoover.

Surviving are her two sons, Scott Kindley and Chad Kindley and wife Jennifer, all of Trinity; her daughter, Jill Brazzle and husband Kory of Wallburg; her brother, Johnny Hoover and wife Becky of Reidsville; her sister, Patsy Hoover Childers of High Point; eight grandchildren, Kerrin Kindley, Kolby Kindley and fiancée Elizabeth Roberts, Kyndal Kindley, Emma Hoult, Jordana Hoult, Haley Tuttle, Sydney Lowe and husband Dylan, and Ryan Tuttle; and four great-grandchildren, Melody, Waylon, Oaklyn, and Jettson.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Morris Little officiating.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Union Community Church Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
