Clemmons
Phyllis Kay Chaudoin, age 78, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 while at Clemmons Village. She was born in Forsyth County on October 20,1947 to the late Robert Booth and Mildred Williams Tucker. Phyllis was a Quality Control manager for a windows and doors manufacture where she learned Spanish as a team leader. She was of the Baptist faith. Phyllis enjoyed tending to her flowers and spending time with family and friends, especially beach trips with her sisters. Christmas was one of Phyllis’ favorite times of year and had a great love for all people. She was also an avid Tarheel fan, loved crafting, and always cooking. One of her favorite things was cherry tootsie roll pops. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by the beloved father of her children, Kenneth Wade Walker, sister Glenda Bruce, and brother-in-law Ronald Gill.
She was survived by her daughters Teresa Bowers (Johnny) and Tracie Dowell (Jeff) both of Winston-Salem; sisters Norma Gilley (Don) of Clemmons and Carolyn Elaine Gill of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren Kayla Figuracion (Savannah), Trey Bowers III, James Kenneth McGee (Brenda), and Candace Gardner (Kyle); five Great Grandchildren, Ashton, Rosie, Kohen, Josie, and Layla; her mean bird Pete and cat Tink Tink; and several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis service will be on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 2pm at J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Winston-Salem 10301 N. NC Highway 109, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, with a visitation prior to the service starting at 1pm. The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff at Trellis Supportive Care and Clemmons Village I. In lieu of flowers Phyllis requested donations be made to the ASPCA.
